I was born the year the corn dog was invented, and was a kid when Roy Rogers was "King of the Cowboys", when "Tail Gunner"Joe McCarthy warned of the "red menace", and gangster Frank Costello went on trial. I was there when the boys came home from World War II, swing changed to rock and roll, color came to the movies, radio drama was replaced by television, and when air conditioning first made Summer nights bearable.
I've sailed the San Juan Islands, shot the rapids in California and Colorado, and camped in Washington, Virginia and Canada. I've enjoyed exploring the catacombs of Rome, seeing the jungle from the top of a Mayan pyramid and being there to watch a relative ride the space shuttle up to fix the Hubble Space Tellescope. My travels have taken me to Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Venice, Crete, London, Paris, New York, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Cancun and many other locations.
I live happily with my wife in a home I designed overlooking the palisades of the Columbia river.
My art work has appeared occasionally in magazines, calendars, cards, billboards, game boxes, books, and galleries.
